Like all girls I too dreamt of my wedding and our big day was on the 8th of July’15. When we picked the date it was so special since, it’s the sum of our birthday date. 1st of Aug and 7th of June are our birthdays, so 1+7=8. I know it’s a bit silly but it was kinda special for me. Ooops!!!I totally forgot to give an intro about us in the first place.
I’m Breena Daniel. I have completed my Bachelors in Dentistry and currently job hunting. My husband’s name is Prawin Sam, currently working in Bahrain. Ours was arrange cum love marriage. We had almost a year to get to know each other. Someday I’ll write about that too.
About the wedding, I’m from Nagercoil, a small town in India’s southern most place named kanyakumari. Since it a tradition to have the wedding in the girl’s house. I had to choose Nagercoil. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get everything, I had in mind but I GOT.
I wanted a pink themed wedding, so my bridesmaids wore pink saree with a plain golden border along with golden colored sequenced blouse. After a lot of hunting I picked pink color gowns for the flower girls and got my granny to do the little flower tiaras. The wedding stage was decorated with a golden colored backdrop along with white and pink lilies.
As for me, I wanted a huge white gown that would give me a Cinderella effect but I ended up wearing a Christian wedding saree and just imagined myself to be an Indian Cinderella. I didn’t search much to pick my wedding saree. I wanted a golden colour wedding saree with cut work. Taadaa!! I got it on the first day of shopping. Along with which I wore a golden colored veil with bead work. My tiara, I got it from Kuwait in a place called Salmiya center. I might have missed the gown but I did get the glass slipper..errr.. not glass my glittery golden colored shoes from Salmiya center . I wanted a mild makeup, Mrs Benita did do the magic.
